How to Publish Your Article in Biomed Press?

 

If you are ready to submit your article, please refer to the checklist below and submit the article online. Some allied files other than the manuscript are needed for submission. Please note that incomplete submission will be summarily rejected. The checklist will provide you all the information relevant for the publication of your article. More details can be found in our Guidelines for Authors. Failure to comply with the procedures given below for submission would seriously delay the progress or may lead to the rejection of your manuscript.


 

Information Needed for Manuscript Submission

 

  • Is this an original work done by the list of authors provided, and are you confirming once again that it has not been published elsewhere in the scientific community ever before or in press in any other publication. The author alone is the sole responsible person for any dispute raised on this article in the future. (See Disclaimer for details.)
  • Are you having e-mail addresses for all the authors?
  • Have you recommended a list of reviewers for the peer review of your article?
  • Have you prepared the Cover letter, Article processing form and the contribution of your study to the scientific community?
  • Covering letter for the submission of article, which includes the details of the corresponding author, their position and the institution/ university/ college/ company/organization in which the research was carried out should be duly completed.
  • The article on publication carries publication fees, have you discussed it with all the co-authors. The publication fee for this journal is given in the guidelines to authors clearly. A quality article will never be compromised for the lack of funds.
  • In case of insufficient funds the author should ask for wavering of fees while submitting the article, the journal committee will decide and finalize it within the three working days from the date of submission. Any concession after the acceptance of article is not recommended and will be neglected.

 

Manuscript Requirements

 

  • Does all authors and their positions are included?
  • Contribution of each author to this project? (See Guidelines to authors)
  • Does your paper conform to the Guidelines prescribed in the Guidelines to authors page?
  • Does your title fewer than 160 characters?
  • Does your short title fewer than 50 characters?
  • Is your abstract fewer than 500 words?
  • Are you using standard formats for nomenclature?
  • Does the images are original out of your research?
  • Does the figures are in standard formats in a high enough resolution?
  • Do your figures and tables are up to the Guidelines for Figure and Table Preparation.
  • Is the manuscript file created in .Doc or .Docx ?
  • Are tables included at the end of the manuscript file?
  • Is the table title no more than one sentenced and has all the rest of the table legend been placed below the table itself?
  • Have you arranged all the figures and tables of manuscript in the proper order?
  • Have you used the prescribed format for the references? (For more details see references from Guidelines to authors page?
  • Have you read through the manuscript carefully so that you are sure that there are no typographical or grammatical errors?

 

Supporting Information Requirements

 

  • Are you having all the raw data in a format to be submitted readily as supporting information?
  • Have you used any new or meagerly known protocol used in this article? Are you ready to submit it as a separate for supporting information’s?
  • Are all appropriate datasets, images, and information been deposited in the relevant public resources and have the accession (and version) numbers been provided in the paper?
  • If you are submitting a software article, you have to deposit the following items in an open software archive: the associated source code of the software, documentation for running and installing the software, and a test dataset with associated control parameter settings?
  • Have all genes, proteins, mutants, diseases, etc., used in the paper been identified by their accession number upon first use, if they appear in a public database? Or else please provide the information’s regarding the commercialization of the software as a note.
  • All authors are recommended to compulsorily provide two or more reviewers in the field of their manuscript for peer review. The paper may be or may not be sent to the person whom you are recommending but it is must to recommend the reviewers on submitting the article.
  • The plant materials used should be deposited in an authorized herbarium and the accession number should be given for verification.
  • Is each supporting information file smaller than 8 MB in size?
  • Does the supporting information files provided by you are in a format that can be used by your research community?
  • Do all supporting information files have a title and legend?
  • If you are reporting a clinical trial have you provided the registration number, do you have a copy of the protocol that you can upload as supporting information, and are you reporting  it according to the CONSORT guidelines?
  • Do ensure that you have strictly followed the ethical guidelines if you have done your work with live animals.
  • Have you attached the scanned copy of permission letter you got from your countries animal ethical board, in case you work with the live animals for research?
